But not at Mountain Circle, where we operate a unique Social Enterprise called the Nu-2-U Store, a vocational training center for older foster youth in Susanville, California.  We are excited to announce Mountain Circle Family Services is hiring for a Nu-2-U Store Manager! This is a unique position requiring a knowledge of retail and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of transitional foster care youth. Join our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the store are running in an organized and well-communicated manner to include:
    • Receiving and organizing of donations
    • Coordinating volunteers and meeting with them monthly
    • Coordinating and communicating with Mountain Circle Social Workers
  • Supervise all employees, including participants of the Transitional Housing Plus program for foster youth
  • Work therapeutically with the participants, understanding their weaknesses and capitalizing on their strengths
  • Mentor, motivate, and model healthy job skills in a working environment
  • Follow all opening and closing guidelines
  • Accountable for all cash in the till and making deposits on a daily basis
  • Accountable for maintaining daily sales log and monthly log form
  • Ensure all appropriate paperwork is routed to the administrative office every Friday
  • Process time sheets
  • Marketing and public relations, promote our Mission Statement to the public

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years of retail experience
  • 18 Years of age or over
  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • Demonstrate initiative to be a self-starter and independent worker
  • Ability to prioritize work in a manner that will expedite efficient results
  • Retail experience
  • Excellent merchandising skills
  • Clear DOJ and CAIC
  • Current physical and TB Test
  • Current drivers license and insurance
