WANTED: Live-in House Mentor (Susanville, CA)

This position will receive free room and board at our Transitional Housing Home in Susanville, CA in exchange for minimal supervision, leadership in weekly life-skills groups (such as budgeting and cooking healthy meals), and the mentoring of up to four older foster youth. This opportunity is ideal for a couple, or for individual(s) seeking their MSW or MFT (Mountain Circle will provide up t0 40 internship hours per week). WANTED:  Social Worker (Susanville- possibly out of other parts of Lassen or Plumas County)

Mountain Circle Family Services, Inc. is seeking a social worker to work with foster youth and families out of our Susanville, CA office. This is a full-time position with benefits. Requirements:

–       Ability to pass a criminal background check (Child Abuse Index, DOJ and FBI)

–       Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

–       Work well under pressure, stress and changing job duties.

–       Have a safe, reliable and insured vehicle for use on the job.

–       Able to provide letters of reference.

–       Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field preferred.

Loving Resource Parents are needed in Northern California and Nevada to provide warm, safe, and caring homes for underprivileged children. Mountain Circle provides training, 24/7 support, and a monthly stipend of up to $1,100 (per child) to Resource families.
