Dr. Shauna RossingtonDr. Shauna Rossington, Executive Director of Mountain Circle since 2001. DBA, Licensed MFT (California, Nevada & Oregon). Doctorate Degree in Business Administration and Master of Science, Marriage and Family Child Counseling, Loma Linda University, San Bernardino, CA. Bachelor of Science, Psychology, and French, Pacific Union College, Angwin, CA. Dr. Rossington has been working in the private nonprofit field of foster care since 1993. Since 2001, Dr. Rossington has brought many innovative programs to MCFS such as our adoption license, our transitional housing programs for youth 16-18 and 18-24, and most recently our ISFC license (Intensive Services Foster Care). In 2005, MCFS expanded to Reno, NV and has operated a license for Treatment Level Foster Care in Reno, NV. Additionally, Dr. Rossington has brought on two world-renowned fundraisers, the Running with the Bears Boston Qualifier Marathon and the Bear Growl Gravel Grinder (a mountain bike and paved ride fundraiser). These fundraisers support the many extras that general funds are unable to provide for. These extras may include but are not limited to, emergency clothing for foster children coming into care and more specifically the PowderQuest Program, which is an annual event taking all foster youth 14+ for an all-expense-paid trip to snowboard and ski. Dr. Rossington is dedicated to protecting children and foster families.

 

 

 

Alicia Arnold, M.A., MFT-I, Chief Operating Officer

In 2012 during her Bachelor’s Degree program at University of Phoenix, Alicia studied foster children and foster families as part of her Human Services Degree, she was moved by this experience and shortly after she and her family signed up to become a foster family with Mountain Circle in Reno, NV. Additionally Alicia attended University of Nevada, Reno and graduated in 2017 with a Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Alicia recently passed her state board exam and will be completing her full licensure requirements as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2019. Alicia’s clinical background includes working with individuals who have experienced severe trauma, domestic violence, eating disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Further professional experience includes many years in accounting and business management.
